Just as i thought that this sunday like the few others that have gone by lately would end on a "why am i alive???" note a sweet lil' sms from an equally sweet friend made me pause for a while and garner my thoughts on the "WHY AM I ALIVE???"note...and the mixture of these innumerable weird or wired...whichever sounds more human..lead to this blog
Taare Zameen Par is undoubtedly my choice of the movie of the year...Darsheel Safary aka Ishaan Awasthi who plays the dyslexic kiddo and Tisca Chopra aka Ishaan's mom get my votes for the best actor n actress par excellence...and Amir Khan needs no votes or support whatsoever, he's one of the best experimental film maker....
Like a true bollywood potboiler the movie ends on a happy note (wouldn't blame Amir for it 'coz thats the only way the guy could make some moolah from his movies).. but fact is that life for such gifted people always doesn't end on a bollywood dream, forget the end...their life in it's totality is a turmoil faced by them and their parents and not too many a few others with "hearts" (no harm intended to anyone; this is purely the authors point)
Exactly what I had expected from an Amir Khan movie, simple, no glam actors or models, no item numbers or jazzy music...and yet the subject matter dealt with was much appreciated by audiences across the country...any of you reading this blog internationally...this is one must watch movie not for the kiddo's but for the parents!...which also reminds me that SEL (aka Shankar, Eeshan & Loy) have done a marvelous job on the musical front of the movie...hats off guys!...
Like i said earlier for those of you haven't watched the movie as yet...go watch it!
N.B; I would be lying to myself if i said that i did not shed a tear at most of the heart rendering scenes in the movie...
